The Parma Sugarbeet Harvester comes in various models to suit the grower's specific needs and conditions.
The 2900 Series, rear squeeze chain elevator model is designed for simplicity and high
capacity in the heavier yields in the western soils. The six-grabroll (Model 2960) and the eight-grabroll
(Model 2980) cleaning bed provide optimum cleaning of the beets without excessive chipping and tail
loss.
The 2700 Series, rear squeeze chain elevator model is specifically designed for the heavy
gumbo mud of the Red River Valley of North Dakota and Minnesota to provide extreme cleaning with the
high-capacity eight-grabroll bed.
The 2200 Series wheel harvester model utilizes a simple center mounted, hydraulic powered,
planetary drive system to power the rear elevating wheel. The high-capacity beet wheel operates smoothly
and quietly. This unit also has a high-capacity eight-grabroll bed for superb cleaning.
All models are available in sizes ranging from 4 Row 30", 6 Row 19"-24", 6 Row 30", to 8 Row 19"-24". The large capacity grabroll beds are built with a split rear grabroll for quick and easy transition to the elevator. The rear squeeze chain elevator can be converted to scrub or squeeze and has been designed and proven to allow for high capacity flow even when harvesting high tonnage yields. One of the more exciting features Parma Harvesters bring is the large 55 1/2" wide high capacity hopper. The hopper uses 48" unloading chain and will hold approximately 4 ton of beets.
Other features and options include a wide open front end for great visibility into the lifter wheels, belted chain, rock protection, 2-way steering with return to straight and breakaway rowfinder. Now, as has been available over the past 30 years, Parma Harvesters offer self-contained hydraulics when needed, yet a simple tractor driven system is standard.
