PARMA Water Lifter® Pump
The Parma Water Lifter Pump, manufactured continually since 1907, is a self priming, submerged type of centrifugal pump. It is a high volume, low pressure, water and waste transfer pump used for irrigation, field drainage, dairy lagoon ponds, and industrial processing plants. Their simplicity of design and quality of construction make them virtually trouble free pumps that are adaptable to almost any agricultural or industrial application where liquids and semi-liquids need to be transferred. It does not require a vacuum inside the bowl eliminating the troublesome parts such as the suction pipe, foot valve, strainer and packing gland designed into similar type pumps. The large “wide-open” intakes of the pump bowl provide a more reliable operation allowing trash and wastes to pass through without causing damage or obstructing flow.
The Parma Pump has enclosed line shafts, oil lubricated, with column bearings every four feet. The bowl assemblies, impellers and bearing housings are heavy duty cast steel-type material for ease of repair and greater life than pumps made from preformed steel and open-type line shafts. Low impeller speed is another plus-factor which aides in the overall efficiency and longevity of the Parma Pump. The designed versatility allows for the many variations needed in each installation without sacrificing its simplicity.
The Parma “Multi-Service” pump is recommended for low lift, high volume pumping of water or slurry waste that does not require chopping.
The Parma Chopper pump is recommended for slurry waste where smaller stringy waste particles need to be chopped before pumping, such as dairy manure containing bedding, hay, etc.. The optional agitator is a great additional tool in managing your manure slurry needs.
The Parma Trailer pump is convenient when portability is needed and may be powered by a tractor PTO or conventional electric motor set-up.
